Types of Movement Techniques

The first two are to be used when Leadership announces SMT.

Successive Bounds: Team is Split up into 2 Elements, A and B

2.A gets in position and announces “Ready”
3. B runs up to A’s position
4. Repeat (Imagine a caterpillar)

1. A runs up to positions ahead while B covers them.
2. A gets in position and announces “Ready”
3. B runs passed A’s position to a more forward position while A covers them
4. Repeat (Imagine leapfrog)

The following technique is to be used when an element finds itself heavily outnumbered or is at close risk to be rendered combat ineffective.

Break Contact: Team is split up into 2 Elements, A and B
1. Commander Announces “Break Contact”
2. A announces “Ready” and continues to return fire at hostiles as B pulls to a position at 3. the rear (10-15 Meters)

Things to Consider when Roleplaying CnC

METTTC
Mission
Enemy
Troops
Terrain
Time
Civilian Consideration

Radio Format and Titles

All Patrol will carry a callsign in their /title (A-xx) xx being two digits and A being any letter in the Alphabet.

Six- Is what the CnC at FOB is called over the radio.

Conversations between Command and Patrol Leaders or Patrol Leader to Patrol Leaders will be done using the following format:

(My Callsign) to (Your Callsign) (Message), (Over or Out)

Over means you wish a response
Out means that your done talking
Put a BREAK: infront of the entire Radio Call if you wish to silence all radio so that all concentrate on your message

Example Conversations

B-64 to C-73, Do you have viscon on objective zulu, over.
BREAK: A-23 to Six, Requesting PAS at my grid, over
Six to A-23, Negative OverWatch cannot deploy PAS right now, over.
A-23 to Six, Copy Be advised I have Malignants in bound, over.
Six to A-23, Understood we advise when PAS is avaible, out.

When talking to your own unit over the radio Format is not needed. However if a BREAK occurs you must halt communication until matter is resolved by CnC.

SALUTE (Size Activity Location Uniform Time Equipment) Report
This is a kind of intelligence report that is sent up to command and logged.
Estimate the size of an enemy unit, what they are doing, where they are, what do they look like, the time you saw them (ZULU TIME), What equipment or weapons were they carrying/riding/using.

Example:
I have a 2-5 sized element conducting recon, 300 meters to my 12 wearing assault vests carrying SMGs. Time is 23:30 Zulu.

Zulu time is to be used which will be GMT

Succession of Leadership

In a given situation where a Patrol leader is rendered combat ineffective and cannot perform his functions correctly a unit must be field promoted and assume tactical command over the patrol.

Sequence of events will occur as follow
1. Leader is shot or rendered combat ineffective
2. Next highest rank that is Command Qualified will Assume command and issue Field Promotion Radio message
2. * In the event no unit is Command Qualified then the unit is to ripcord back to
base.
3. Unit assumes command of patrol and continues mission

If two units are of the same rank then either can assume command, however arguments over leadership will result in corrective action.

Field Promotion Radio Message:
BREAK: (My Callsign) to six, (DIGITS) is field promoted at (Patrol name), out.

This manual was produced for use by the Universal Union and its affiliates reproduction of this documentation will result in isolation at Nova Prospekt for a total of 35 cycles followed by 5 cycles of reeducation.
